A Message From Our Summer Intern
My name is Alexandra Berlin and I’m studying Strategic Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations at the University of Colorado Boulder. This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a summer intern at dovetail solutions, a firm renowned for its expertise in public relations. Assisting in the development of press releases and media advisories was both challenging and rewarding. I gained hands-on experience in crafting clear, engaging and newsworthy content. This process involved understanding the core message, the target audience, and the most effective way to convey the information.
Media Relations and Crisis Management
One of the most insightful aspects of my internship was learning about media relations and crisis management. I observed how the team handles media inquiries, builds relationships with journalists and manages challenging situations. This experience underscored the importance of maintaining a positive relationship and being prepared for any potential issues that may arise.
Client Engagement
Client engagement was another key focus area. I learned how to assist in communicating with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met.
