Andy founded dovetail solutions in 2005, with this idea of facilitating the intersection of the corporate world with non-profit organizations/NGOs, and local, state and federal governments to accomplish seemingly intractable goals in communications, branding and marketing, community, and civic involvement, with results driven solutions. As its founder, Andy drives the direction, growth and strategy for the firm.

With more than 36 years of full-service communications, brand and messaging experience in all 3 areas of intersection combined, Andy has driven now thousands of communications and marketing campaigns, which have led to national award-winning accolades and solid results. With communication as his passion, Andy has led brand efforts which are nationally recognized, in a myriad of industries which include real estate development and commercial real estate, aviation, hospitality, technology, life sciences, financial, design, automotive, aerospace, hospitality, luxury and legal services.

Andy has long been known and recognized for his unique, out of the box innovation and creativity. He is often associated with sensible, thoughtful and focused based work, which helps create a narrative for dovetail solutions’ client partners. Andy also has a long history of public affairs and crisis and issues management work, for which he is consistently recognized, both locally and nationally.

Recognized publicly as a born leader, Andy is best suited to lead the firm with the finest team in the business. He is a connector by nature and enjoys the work of facilitating mutually beneficial relationships with proven results. He has been quoted in numerous books, interviewed by many who seek to know more about his philosophy, and speaks regularly on topics directly relevant to that which he practices.

Andy is very active in the community, establishing the 501c3 foundation for the firm in 2008, called ExecConnect. He is quite a fierce advocate for women and children, helping to establish a safe home for victims of domestic violence, chairing the board of Kempe Foundation, a center for the treatment of victims of child abuse. Andy currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for Cherry Creek North in Denver, the Chairman of the Cherry Creek Alliance, the Chairman of The Hangar Club, he is on the board of the Denver Association of Professional Services, Denver Scholarship Foundation, the Leadership Institute of California, the Colorado Inclusive Economy, and serves as an advisor to several early-stage companies. Andy served as vice chairman of the board of the Denver Botanic Gardens during its largest development and build out effort to date of over $75 million, the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation Executive Committee, Denver KIDS, Denver Active 2030 Children’s Foundation, just to name a few. He also appears weekly on network news as a senior political commentator and won an Emmy in 2021. Andy takes every opportunity to be a part of a team to bring needed change to these areas and brings with him a strong belief in the good of others.

Further, Andy has a very long and well-respected career in politics. He has served numerous mayoral, gubernatorial, U.S. House and Senate candidates as a seasoned political advisor for more than 36 years and worked extensively on 7 presidential campaigns. He also was elected and served as the youngest member in Colorado’s history on the Democratic National Committee, from 2000-2004, casting the vote to bring the Democratic National Convention to Denver in 2008.

Andy considers his greatest accomplishment being a dad, constantly learning, loving and laughing with his wife and children.
