Director of Client Services
Since 2012, Marissa has been an engaged member of dovetail solutions’ client services team, calling upon her background in the areas of public relations, social media, community engagement, strategic communications and reporting. She has experience working with clients in a breadth of professional services industries including real estate, architecture, construction, law, financial services and higher education, among others. In her role as director of client services, Marissa is responsible for big-picture strategic planning as well as the day-to-day management, providing oversight of all client accounts and supporting the full client services team. A Colorado native, Marissa works remotely for dovetail solutions while making frequent trips back to Denver to serve client needs. She has experienced life in many places across the country thanks to her husband’s military career, but has found no community she loves more than Denver. Beginning with dovetail solutions as an intern, she benefited tremendously from the firm’s teaching internship program while continuing to support the dovetail solutions team from a variety of roles and perspectives during the past seven years. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, Marissa earned degrees in journalism and Spanish, as well as an international media certificate.
Outside of the office, Marissa keeps busy as a military spouse while chasing after two young daughters and two senior rescue dogs. She loves nothing more than globe trotting (seven countries down, far too many blank passport pages left to fill), fitness, cracking open a good book, singing along to Taylor Swift, honing her baking skills and giving into her two guiltiest of pleasures (The Bachelor and Real Housewives).
making a difference
Marissa has found a passion for connecting her professional skills with her personal desire to fill community needs. She served on the Project C.U.R.E. Volunteer Board with her primary responsibility to develop the Denver warehouse’s quarterly newsletter, serving as an important communication tool for its volunteers and supporters.
Marissa also previously served on the Marketing Committee & Event Team of MaxFund, Denver’s no-kill animal shelter. In her role she helped with the organization’s marketing needs, fundraising efforts and event planning. Among her responsibilities was assisting with the planning and execution of Puttin’ on the Max, one of Denver’s most popular black-tie galas. Additionally, she assisted with the redesign of the nonprofit’s marketing collateral. Marissa is also a strong supporter of Special Olympics and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and regularly volunteers with the dovetail team on service projects.
