Maura O'Neal

Client Services Partner

Maura brings years of writing, customer service and public relations experience to the dovetail solutions team. As client services partner, she is responsible for developing communication strategies for clients and executing the day-to-day activities to ensure their success. Before joining dovetail, Maura was an account executive at Boulder-based Pivot Communication where she helped develop and manage public relations, marketing and social media programs for a diverse client roster. She was also a professional research assistant for the University of Colorado. She studied the impact of playground design on the physical activity of youth through the CU-Denver School of Architecture and Planning and also studied problem behavior through the CU-Boulder Institute of Behavioral Science.

Maura earned her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Colorado State University and her master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado.

making a difference

Volunteering has been the best way for Maura to connect with her community. She is the president of the Commerce City Cultural Council, which works to advance charity and education for the preservation of art, music, theater and dance in Commerce City. She serves as the grants committee co-chair for the Christian Foundation, a nonprofit that provides grants to startup and smaller organizations that fulfill unmet needs of vulnerable populations. She is the resource coordinator for the Commerce City 9Health Fair, and is a member of the Commerce City Economic Development Citizens Advisory Board and the Commerce City Quality Community Board. As a member of Boulder 2140, the young professionals affiliate of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Maura helped structure the marketing committee and served as communications manager for the organization.
