Marissa Hoffman

Marissa provides extensive client assistance to dovetail solutions as a client services partner, calling upon her professional and educational background in the areas of public relations, social media, community engagement, strategic communications and reporting. She has experience working with clients in a breadth of industries including accounting, real estate development, architecture, construction, law, insurance and higher education, among others. As a client services partner, Marissa relies on her project management skills to lead client accounts, providing day-to-day management and strategic planning to help clients meet their public relations goals.

A native of Colorado, Marissa now works remotely from New Jersey for dovetail solutions, making frequent trips back to Denver to serve client needs. Because her husband is a pilot, she has experienced life in many places across the country but has found no community she loves more than Denver. Leveraging today’s technological offerings, Marissa is able to remain anchored to the Denver landscape as she manages client accounts.

Beginning with dovetail solutions as an intern, she benefitted tremendously from the firm’s teaching internship program. She continued providing support to the dovetail solutions team before progressing to client services associate upon college graduation in May 2012, followed by a second promotion to client services partner in May 2014.

Marissa has experience as a staff reporter for Colorado Engineer Magazine, the University of Colorado’s only student magazine, receiving awards for her published material. She has also worked with the in-house marketing and communications department for Centura Health, the state’s largest healthcare provider, and interned at the presentation desk of Boulder’s Daily Camera.

A graduate from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Marissa earned degrees in news/editorial journalism and Spanish, as well as an international media certificate. Through her studies, Marissa has learned to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Outside of the office, Marissa spends her time with her husband, daughter and two dogs and also enjoys traveling, reading and fitness.

Marissa has found a passion for connecting her professional skills with her personal desire to fill community needs. She serves on the Project C.U.R.E. Volunteer Board. Her primary responsibility is to develop the Denver warehouse’s quarterly newsletter, which serves as an important communication tool for its volunteers and supporters. She has been a member of the Volunteer Board since its inception, helping to launch the initiative in the Denver warehouse.

Marissa also previously served on the Marketing Committee & Event Team of MaxFund, Denver’s only no-kill animal shelter. In her role she helped with the organization’s marketing needs, fundraising efforts and event planning. Among her responsibilities was assisting with the planning and execution of Puttin’ on the Max, one of Denver’s most popular black-tie galas. Additionally, she assisted with the redesign of the nonprofit’s marketing collateral. Marissa is also a strong supporter of Special Olympics.
