Margo M. Waisanen

Margo brings over 16 years of Marketing, PR/Communications, and Government Relations experience to dovetail solutions. She began her career on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, where she learned the importance and effectiveness of community involvement in policy making. Her political savvy and relationship building skills were further honed working for a Washington, DC Government Relations firm whose diverse range of clients included private industry, educational facilities, transit authorities, and Indian tribes. Her ability to develop networks with Congressional offices and the Administration resulted in nimble responses to crises and successful resolutions for clients.

Margo was a part of the fast-paced and ever-changing technology sector where she managed regional corporate marketing programs for both federal and commercial audiences. Most recently, Margo served as Marketing Manager for the Rocky Mountain region of a Front Range professional services firm.

Making a Difference

At an early age, through her small family-owned business in West Virginia, Margo learned the importance of hard work, customer service, relationship building, and investing in her community. Carrying these values into adulthood, Margo became active in the community service fraternal organization, Alpha Phi Omega, volunteering at the local nursing home, elementary school, and for other civic needs. In Washington, DC Margo became one of the first volunteers for Children’s National Medical Center’s Project CHAMP, a program specifically designed to serve the needs of HIV-affected children and their families. She participated for over twelve years until relocating to Denver, and later saw her first CHAMP child receive her high school diploma.

Locally, Margo participates in the Denver Public Schools Foundation’s School Partners Program with Columbian Elementary School in Northwest Denver and is actively pursuing other opportunities within the community to give back.

Margo has also served as Chair of the Education committee for the Society of Marketing Professional Services, as well as treasurer of her Parish Council.
