Andy Boian
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
A Denver native, Andy is passionate about the integration of business and community. In 2005 he founded dovetail solutions, a company that maximizes its clients’ branding, public relations and marketing efforts by bringing together the public, private, political and community sectors. Andy is a natural “connector,” a term coined in The Tipping Point by author Malcolm Gladwell. Andy has effectively parlayed this skill into his professional life.
Jeremy Story
President
Jeremy Story is an experienced communications professional who has spent more than 15 years developing and executing high-profile communications campaigns for organizations ranging from the Fortune 100 to private start-ups. His work has been recognized with a number of awards, including the public relations industry’s highest honor, the PRSA Silver Anvil. Prior to joining dovetail solutions, Jeremy co-founded Story + Welch Public Relations, a boutique communications firm focusing on clients in the professional services, business-to-business and technology industries. Clients included H&R Block, Newmont Mining, tw telecom, Trust Company of America, Cimarex and Faegre & Benson.
David Goodfriend
Strategic Counselor
David Goodfriend is a lawyer and lobbyist specializing in telecommunications and renewable energy financing issues and was previously vice president of Law and Public Policy for DISH Network. His positions in government service have included deputy staff secretary to President Bill Clinton, professional committee staff to Chairman Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) and Chairman Herb Kohl (D-Wis.), and media legal advisor to FCC Commissioner Susan Ness. Goodfriend helped found Air America Radio and co-hosts “Left Jab” on Sirius-XM. He also is a regular political contributor to MSNBC, CNBC and Fox. He graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center and summa cum laude from Beloit College.
Emily Holleran
Chief of Staff
Emily Holleran contributes her unique background in publishing and management to dovetail solutions as chief of staff. She has solid project administrative experience in creating strategic marketing and publicity plans for a renowned author and speaker based in Denver. As director of operations, Emily served as the face and voice of the company, interfacing with top executives worldwide, creating individualized presentations, marketing “CatchFire,” a scientific research-based book geared toward improving performance in life, and working with Emergenetics, a leading-edge assessment that brings knowledge and results to individuals and businesses. In the process, she developed strong relationships with community leaders and organizations.
Ryann Anderson
Client Services Partner
Ryann Anderson brings significant experience to the dovetail team in developing and managing client-based marketing, public relations and communications. Work in the publishing and technology industries has provided unique expertise in B2B and B2C marketing, as well as a working knowledge of marketing through all forms of traditional and social media. However, it is her most recent work in green building and urban planning communities of Colorado that has ignited her passion for linking professional aspirations to civic and social responsibility and ultimately, that brought her to dovetail solutions.
Maura O'Neal
Client Services Partner
Maura brings years of writing, customer service and public relations experience to the dovetail solutions team. As client services manager, she is responsible for developing communication strategies for clients and executing the day-to-day activities to ensure their success. Before joining dovetail, Maura was an account executive at Boulder-based Pivot Communication where she helped develop and manage public relations, marketing and social media programs for a diverse client roster. She was also a professional research assistant for the University of Colorado. She studied the impact of playground design on the physical activity of youth through the CU-Denver School of Architecture and Planning and also studied problem behavior through the CU-Boulder Institute of Behavioral Science.
Marissa Hoffman
Client Services Coordinator
Marissa Hoffman provides client assistance to dovetail solutions as client services coordinator, calling upon her solid educational background in the areas of public relations and reporting. She worked closely with BeadforLife, a Boulder-based nonprofit organization that has a strong international presence. Marissa helped the company to directly target its sought-after college demographic, specifically CU students. Marissa has experience as a staff reporter for Colorado Engineer Magazine, CU’s only student magazine, receiving awards for her published work. She also has experience working with the in-house marketing and communications department for Centura Health, the state’s largest health care provider. She assisted with the company’s social media efforts and helped manage both community and internal communication.
Kendall Schoemann
Client Services Coordinator
As client services coordinator, Kendall applies her journalistic and public relations background to assist with client and internal projects. From her experience as a reporter at the Longmont Times-Call, she has established a solid foundation in hard-news journalism as well as feature writing. As public information coordinator at the Boulder County Commissioners’ Office, she honed her internal and external communication skills, particularly in crisis management and public outreach. She has also applied her marketing abilities at the Colorado Chautauqua Association, by promoting events and implementing a social media strategy. She is excited to integrate her writing, communication and marketing skills at a high-caliber PR firm.
Kendall will graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder in May earning a B.S. in journalism with a news-editorial and public relations emphasis and a certificate in international media.
