Giving Thanks

Lauren Arnold As we spent this past Thursday filling up on delectable items such as turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and, if you’re as lucky as I am, some homemade pumpkin pie courtesy of Mama Ann, did you take the time to give thanks? The holiday is indeed about expressing the things we are thankful for. In light of the holiday, I thought it fitting to reflect on what dovetail is thankful for.
We would like to thank our staff. Each of you is a valued member of our family and makes our business the success it has become.
We would like to thank all of our clients, past, present and future. We have enjoyed working with each and every one of you over the past four years and appreciate your continued support and business.
We would like to thank the City of Denver and all of our community partners, who help make our city such a vibrant and celebrated place to live and work.
If the trytophan in the turkey got the better of you before you had time to reflect on what you are thankful for, take a little time to do this now. Whether it is family, friends, health, happiness, your career, the wonderful celebration on Thanksgiving, or your child’s first word today, take a moment to
- Write down 5 things you are thankful for on this day
- Write down 20 things you are thankful for from this past year
- Reflect on what you have written, and set goals for next year
If you would like to make thankfulness a part of your daily routine, there is even a new iPhone application called the Gratitude Journal to help you record what you are grateful for each day.
