David Goodfriend

David Goodfriend is a lawyer and lobbyist specializing in telecommunications and renewable energy financing issues and was previously vice president of Law and Public Policy for DISH Network. His positions in government service have included deputy staff secretary to President Bill Clinton, professional committee staff to Chairman Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) and Chairman Herb Kohl (D-Wis.), and media legal advisor to FCC Commissioner Susan Ness. Goodfriend helped found Air America Radio and co-hosts “Left Jab” on Sirius-XM. He also is a regular political contributor to MSNBC, CNBC and Fox. He graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center and summa cum laude from Beloit College. He is passionate about Strategic Community Investment and its continued growth in the area.

David currently serves on the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council Advisory Board and co-chairs the Federal Communications Bar Association Legislation Committee. He was named by Multichannel News one of the “Forty Under 40” and by Broadcasting & Cable as a “Fifth Estater.”
